| The older DAF vehicles are rostered to do Services 30, 31 and 32.
(30/31) Southampton - Cadnam via Central Station, Millbrook Station, Redbridge, Totton, West Totton, then either: (30) Netley Marsh & Woodlands, or (31) Tatchbury & Copythorne. (32) Southampton - Calmore Estate via Central Station, Millbrook Station, Redbridge, Totton and Testwood. Note: 32B Southampton - Calmore Estate via Cental Station, Millbrook Station, Redbridge, Totton and West Totton. Runs Friday and Saturday evenings only on the last 2 trips out of Southampton. Next bus made after 504, 505 is slightly faster off the mark but top speed is only 1mph more than 504 (ECU again) and doesn't have the comfortable seats - more like bricks! Still, never mind! Update: Now Been Upgraded with New Paint and New Seats, exactly like 504 - the primary difference being now is that 505 contains no Solent Blue Line logo livery on the outside, just the paint. The vehicle's door brake has now been reactivated, which works very efficiently at 50mph...as I had the unfortunate luck to find out, not helped by slow doors which shut individually! Warning: Halt Brake pressure on wheels is only determined by the pressure applied to the footbrake when either door is open - should you come to a complete stop, activate the handbrake THEN open the doors then the Halt Brake will not work properly and will not apply any or little pressure, resulting in the vehicle creeping forwards |
